Community and Disabled People

In the 1970s, when people with disabilities began to leave institutions, they found a society that had forgotten how to include those of us who are different. Individually, and in groups like the Canadian Association for Community Living, the disabled people, along with their friends and families, began helping our communities rediscover their natural capacity to include and support everyone.
